Description:

14th ANNUAL ADR CONVENTION EXPLORES THE MEANING OF BELONGING IN 2020

The Annual ADR Conference will be offered remotely this year over three days, yet remains jam-packed with exciting, relevant sessions and plenty of opportunities to socialize with old friends, and new. Nationally known speaker Ellie Krug, a trial attorney who transitioned from male to female in 2009, heads up our three-day dynamic platform of live and remote seminars. She will demonstrate her toolkit, Gray Area Thinking©

 - a ground-breaking way for humans to engage with difference in a mindful and compassionate way. Other innovative seminars, including our ever-popular "Everything you Wanted to Know About Mediation Law," along with opportunities to network, will be spread out over two mornings, 10/27 and 10/29, and one afternoon, 10/30.

The theme “Belonging” is timely as it’s almost impossible to speak seriously about how we engage with one another productively today without discussing how our sense of belonging/identities shape that engagement. While we’ve become almost weary of  seeing identity wielded as a blade, ADR Conference sessions will give you tools for harnessing it as a useful lens to build our way out of our polarization. The conference will explore how we can leverage and invigorate successful conflict resolution by  uniting diverse members into one community.

The Conference boasts more CLE credits than ever, 2 live plenaries (a keynote and a capstone), a live Mediation Association of Colorado Ethics Panel, and 8 practice- enhancing breakout sessions such as "Listening for Change," "Best Practice for Business Divorces,"  "Juggling Bias and Neutrality," and "Increasing Diversity in Arbitration Selection," plus  many  demonstrative poster sessions. You can chat in real time with our speakers, visit our sponsors, and win prizes, all from the comfort of your desk, couch, or porch. All sessions will be made available for download to conference attendees, so no frustrating choices, no mileage report, no per diems, and no missing anything.  EXPLORE BELONGING AS ADR PROFESSIONALS, the Post-COVID EDITION.
