I am a former magistrate who resolves family and civil disputes through mediation and arbitration. My law degree is from the University of Colorado. I also hold a science Ph.D. My training in mediation and conflict resolution is from the Colorado Bar Association, and from the Center for Dispute Resolution in Boulder. I was one of Colorado’s first Family Court Facilitators, and I have spent more than a decade resolving family matters within the Colorado Courts.
As a magistrate I also heard civil and small claims cases, and I conducted settlement conferences, mostly for cases under County court jurisdiction. Since becoming a full time mediator, most of my cases have been domestic relations matters, but I take an increasing number of real estate, HOA, and money related disputes. Call me if you have a civil matter and we can discuss whether it fits within my expertise.
I am passionate about helping everyone through the system, whether they have a lawyer or not. I am a former member of Colorado’s Access to Justice Commission.
