Tracy is a retired Colorado licensed attorney, having practiced 38 years in both public (Colorado Office of Attorney General) and private sectors. She is a member of the Ethics Committee of the Mediation Association of Colorado.

Tracy has mediated since 2008 both in programs serving the courts and also as a private mediator. Tracy also mediates with Find Solutions, a non-profit organization providing mediation services to many Colorado county and municipal governments.

While practicing law Tracy advocated for her clients in state and federal courts, and served in thousands of cases as an attorney, court-appointed Guardian ad Litem, court-appointed Children’s Representative, and as Child and Family Investigator.

Areas of her mediation practice include:

Family law:  dissolution issues,  parental responsibilities,  visitation,  support.

Probate issues:  guardianship,  conservatorship,  protective orders,  decedents’ estates,  trust estates, mental health.

Employment and workplace disputes.

Contracts,  construction,  real estate and  Homeowners’ Association disputes.

Neighbor-to-neighbor complaints and citizen complaints.

While practicing law Tracy advocated for her clients in state and federal courts, and served in thousands of cases as an attorney, court-appointed Guardian ad Litem, court-appointed Children’s Representative, and as Child and Family Investigator.

Tracy continues to provide pro bono legal services through Metro Volunteer Lawyers to parties representing themselves or unable to pay fees. She has been appointed to city, county and state boards, committees and task forces. While active in Denver, Arapahoe County and Colorado Bar Associations she chaired or served on a number of committees. She presented accredited continuing education programs for Colorado attorneys on guardianship topics, served as a judge for DECA state and regional competitions and as a professional mentor for high school students.

Tracy graduated from Colorado College (BA, With Honors) and University of Denver College of Law (JD). She decided to remain in Colorado, her native state, to practice law and raise her family. Some of her favorite activities are Colorado seasonal sports, hiking, scuba diving, urban farming, equestrian and arts related activities.
