I have developed excellent conflict de-escalation & resolution skills throughout my work career. I’ve been the Mediation Program Coordinator for the City of Fort Collins since August 2015. Prior to that, I worked for the Larimer County HR Department for 33 years, which required me to have a high level of conflict resolution skills. In addition, I volunteered with the City of Fort Collins’ Community Mediation Program for 10 years, the City’s RJCP/Restore Programs for 3 years, and as a peace circle facilitator/co-facilitator in area schools for 5 years. In addition to having a 40-hour mediation certificate, I’ve had roughly 175 hours of advanced facilitation skills training, and I’ve facilitated and co-facilitated both large & small groups on a variety of issues. I also completed a 224-hour organizational development certificate program through Mountain States Employers Council in Denver. I was the solo mediator in several workplace mediations at Larimer County in addition to working closely with supervisors to solve a variety of workplace conflicts.
