Shannon A. R. Allen knows there is more than meets the eye to every family law case. She probes the deeper issues motivating each case and empowers her clients to reach solutions that ultimately allow them to thrive.
Shannon received her Bachelor of the Arts from Pepperdine University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado Law, where she graduated on the dean’s list, and she was also a visiting scholar at Harvard University. Shannon is a devoted academic and a critical thinker.
After clerking for a Colorado District Court Judge and researching for the Colorado Office of the Alternate Defense Counsel, Shannon narrowed her practice to exclusively family law in 2012. Shannon combines her passion for academic research and writing with her passion for people into her advocacy and representation of the clients she guides through the family law system.
Shannon is a trained Mediator and Christian Conciliator with a passion for peacemaking. Her goal is to bring peace to every level of the conflict facing her clients and their families.
Shannon focuses her legal practice on all areas of family law, including divorce/ dissolution, allocation of parental responsibilities, child and spousal support, division of property, relocation, mediation and alternate dispute resolution, and marital agreements.
Shannon is a certified Child and Family Investigator (CFI) and a regular volunteer with the Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Clinic (JAMLAC) and Street’s Hope in Denver.
Shannon spends most of her spare time hanging with her husband Matt and her sons Jude and Seth, cycling, skiing, raft guiding, traveling, gardening, and eating delicious food.
