I have started Top Thought LLC as a secondary career where I work as a Consultant, Mediator, and ICS Instructor.
Prior to Top Thought, I was a Captain with South Metro Fire Rescue. I spent the majority of my time as a Station Officer and retired in 2018 after 29 years of service. I was also involved with numerous Fire Department work groups and committees over the years in the areas of: Hiring, New hire interviews, Fleet Services, Management Surveys, Mergers, Awards, Employee recognition, and other Human Resource areas.
At the same time as I was a Firefighter, I was also a member of CO-TF1 – Colorado’s FEMA Urban Search & Rescue (US&R) Task Force for 25 years. During that time, I responded to numerous disasters and events including: the OKC bombing, the 9/11 WTC incident, 2002 Winter Olympics, G8 meetings, flooding events, Hurricanes Katrina & Sandy and 11 other hurricane incidents.
My experiences in emergency response and administrative projects has helped me develop a calm, focused, team approach to problem solving. I look forward to helping people in new ways!
