Dorothy Hayden-Watkins is an experienced leader, educator, private and public sector executive and administrator (state and federal government). She has worked in these capacities at such entities as the US EEOC, the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, NASA, Hilton Hotels Corporation, and Colorado and Nebraska school systems. Her areas of expertise are human equity and diversity, civil rights and equal opportunity (employment, housing, and public accommodations), education and training (public education, adult and continuing education), community development, and conflict resolution.
Dorothy holds a Ph.D. in Adult and Continuing Education from the University of Nebraska, a Master of Education degree in Secondary Education and Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Social Science from the University of Northern Colorado. She has worked as a classroom teacher, school administrator, studied and taught as associate professor and visiting lecturer at acredited universities including University of Phoenix (UOPX) Colorado, California Campuses and UCLA, Los Angeles Campus, respectively.
She has authored published articles and speeches in her fields of study and served in various roles on corporate and nonprofit boards and commissions. She has traveled abroad and worked in multi-cultural and ethnically diverse environments.
