A Federal Mediator/Facilitator since 2009 working on behalf of the Colorado Federal Executive Board shared neutrals program and FAA Civil Rights in more than 800 cases. Employed with the Federal Aviation Administration since 1987 possesing Bachelors and Masters degrees in Engineering from Colorado State University and University of Idaho respectively.
Experienced meeting with entry level employees to agency Directors and their respective attorney or union representatives. A Graduate Certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from Colorado State University and Professional skills training from Pepperdine Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution and the University of Maryland Baltimore have prepared me for EEO informal and formal cases as well as workplace mediations and facilitations with groups ranging in size from 4 to 125.
The 2016 recipient of the Federal Aviation Administration Regional Administrators Award for Excellence in Diversity. My approach to conflict resolution is to create an environment in the room, where everyone feels they can present their perspectives while listening and learning from each other working towards a form of resolution. The goal being to use time at the table to make tomorrow different from yesterday.
