Who we are…
In 2009, national Mediators Beyond Borders International (www.mediatorsbeyondbordersinternational.org) initiative was established to partner with communities worldwide to build their conflict resolution capacity for preventing, resolving and healing from conflict. This partnership involves the design and implementation of sustainable peace building initiatives
responsive to the needs and culture of the communities, and to the history of each conflict.
In November, 2011, Regis University fulfilled its requirements to become one of four MBB chapters in the country. The MBBI Colorado chapter has both a student chapter and a state-wide chapter with the intention of bringing together mediators and allied professionals to volunteer both locally and internationally in support of conflict resolution capacity building efforts in underserved areas. The goal of the Colorado MBBI program is to foster collaborative initiatives in local community partnerships with on-site efforts. MBBI assists in building and sustaining local capacity and training in ways that promotes violence prevention and integration of peace justice.
Project Description…
