Our Eldercare Essentials class is designed for:

1)      Mediators desiring to provide elder mediation services who are not (yet) familiar with eldercare concepts

2)      Anyone new to the eldercare field desiring a comprehensive overview

3)     Anyone wanting a primer on eldercare concepts

Topics include the Aging Process, Ageism, Cognitive Impairment, Mental/Physical Effects of Aging, End-of-Life Issues, a Legal Overview (Wills/Trusts/Estates, Guardianship,  Confidentiality) with Legal Red Flags, Continuum of Care, Medicare/Medicaid/PACE Program/Veteran’s Benefits, and Other Eldercare Resources.

Anyone planning to attend Elder Mediation Training on Feb 29 – March 2 who does not already have a solid eldercare background is strongly encouraged to attend this one-day class.
